Pulaski - Mr. William "Billy" Campbell Gordon Jr., 86, of Pulaski died May 1, 2026, at STRHS Pulaski.
Mr. Gordon was born March 3, 1940, in Pulaski and was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He was a graduate of Bodenham School. He enjoyed farming and watching sports, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a people-person; he loved to talk and cut up with others. He was an elder at Mt. Moriah Church and a lifetime member of the Lions Club, where he served as president for many years. He served as the Giles County Tax Assessor for four terms, until his retirement. Prior to this he was the co-owner of Gordon Brothers Oil Company. He is preceded in death by wife Martha Gordon; parents, William Campbell Gordon Sr. and Virginia Dare Derryberry; and son Billy Eugene Gordon.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Maplewood Cemetery.
Survivors include daughter Malinda (Mike) Solomon of Pulaski; son Todd (LeAnn) Gordon of Pulaski; granddaughters, Ashley (Chris) Staggs, Aniston Gordon, both of Pulaski; grandsons, Brinnon (Elissa) Solomon of Athens, Ala., Cobe Gordon, Bryson Gordon, both of Pulaski; great-grandchildren, Alden Staggs, Abby Staggs, Allie Kate Staggs, Alivia Staggs, Axton Staggs, Braiden Solomon, MaKinley Solomon; brothers, David (Mary Frances) Gordon of Shelbyville, Steve (Carol) Gordon of Pulaski, Randy (Debbie) Gordon of Minor Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
