Terry Dwayne Hughes Obituary

Mr. Terry Dwayne Hughes, 81, of Pulaski died April 10, 2025, at STRHS Pulaski.


Mr. Hughes was born April 30, 1943, in Pulaski and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Second Street Church of Christ. He was an avid longtime fan of all local sports. He worked for many years at Sunshine Cleaners and the Giles County Highway Department, where he retired as a mechanic. He is preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Eva Crabtree Hughes; wife coach Royce Hughes and brother Jerry Hughes.


Visitation will be held Saturday, April 12, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.


Survivors include daughter Tancy Hughes of Pulaski; son Troy Hughes and wife Andrea of Pulaski; grandchildren, Clay Hughes, Victoria Marks and husband Trillion, all of Pulaski, Courtney Gowan and husband Blake, A.J. Pettus Jr. and wife Alysa, all of of Athens, Ala.; brother Pat Hughes and wife Cindy of Murfreesboro; and sister-in-law Gayle Hughes of Nashville.
