n/a, n/a - Mrs. Sadie Ruth Smith Malone, 94, died June 2, 2025.


Mrs. Malone was born April 14, 1931, in Anderson, Ala. She attended Anderson Elementary School then transferred to Minor Hill School. She worked at Giles County Hospital and Hillside Hospital for 38 years where she retired. She was a member of St. Andrew Community Church. She is preceded in death by parents, Byrtle and Mary Smith; and husband of 72 years David Allen Malone.


Visitation will be Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m.-noon at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial services will begin at noon with Chris Blalock officiating. Private graveside services will follow at Booth Chapel Cemetery in Minor Hill.

Survivors include daughter Donna Hayes and husband Kendal of Pulaski; son Mike Malone and wife Sherri of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Amanda Lawson and husband Aaron of W. Va, Brandon Malone and wife Ashlee of Murfreesboro, Elon Hayes and wife Mary of Harvest, Ala., Bryan Hayes and wife Jan of Birmingham, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Zachary Hayes and wife Emily, Luke Hayes, Sydney Hayes, Riley Hayes, Elijah Hayes, Aidan Lawson, Abigail Lawson, Carter Malone, Jackson Malone; special rriend Marylin Wall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
