Pulaski - Mrs. Katherine W. "Kitty" Brewer, 94, of Pulaski died Sept. 6, 2025, at NHC, Pulaski.

Mrs. Brewer was born May 18, 1931, in Dallas and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She dedicated her career to education, retiring from the Giles County Board of Education. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as church historian, participated in the Gleaners Sunday School class and shared her musical talents as organist for more than 30 years. She served as a member and past president of the Pulaski Garden Club. She was also a lifetime member of the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs and the Giles County Historical Society. She is preceded in death by husband of 63 years Charles Richard "Red" Brewer Sr.; parents, Charles and Lucille Williams; and son-in-law Tim Bates.

Funeral services were Sept. 9 at First Baptist Church, Pulaski. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery.

Survivors include son Richie (Nina) Brewer of Pulaski; daughter Leatha Brewer Bates of Pulaski; granddaughter Kaylea Brewer (Tyler) Fields of Hixson; grandsons, John Brewer of Vero Beach, Fla., Ben (Ashlee) Bates of Pulaski; great-grandchildren, Samantha Fields, Bonnie Bates, Annie Bates; and several family and friends.
