John Lewis Johnson Obituary

Mr. John Lewis Johnson, 74, of Pulaski died March 29, 2025, at AHC Meadowbrook.

Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 22, 1950, and was a man of quiet strength, unmistakable style and an enduring connection to family. Affectionately known as "Cochise" to his friends, he took great pride in his appearance — his pants were always crisply creased, and every detail of his wardrobe was thoughtfully put together. A graduate of Giles County High School, he had an easygoing spirit and a strong presence. He valued connection, conversation and the comfort of family, always maintaining close ties with those he held dear. His son and daughter were born of the union to his first wife, Anita Ford Johnson. Though that chapter of his life came to a close, the family they created together remains a lasting testament to their time shared. In later years, he also shared a union with Brenda K. Miles Johnson; while their paths eventually led them in different directions, their bond was a meaningful part of his life's journey. He had a natural aptitude for carpentry and took great joy in working with his hands, finding deep satisfaction in building, fixing and creating. Whether crafting something new or restoring something worn, he approached his work with skill and care. Though he has departed this life, his memory lives on in the stories told, the laughter shared and the love that remains. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who went before him, and may his spirit continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him. He is preceded in death by beloved father James Johnson; and siblings, LC Johnson, James Edward Johnson, Cleathur Johnson and Theathur Johnson.
