Frankewing, TN - Mrs. Helen Fay Harwell, 80, of Frankewing died Sept. 7, 2025, at her home.
Mrs. Harwell was born May 1, 1945, in Lincoln County and was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She found joy in cooking for her family, who were the center of her world. A devoted Tennessee Vols and Titans fan, she loved cheering on her teams. She also enjoyed watching hummingbirds while on the porch of her farm. She is preceded in death by husband of 61 years Ermon Hawell; parents, Edward Earl and Mable Bryant Douthit; son-in-law Randall Garner; and brothers, Dan Douthit and Tommy Douthit.
Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date. Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include daughters, Loretta Garner, Beverly Harwell, both of Pulaski; granddaughters, Heather (Josh) Roberson of Chapel Hill, Kimberly (Chris) James of Keystone Heights, Fla.; grandsons, James Robert (Kelli) Garner of Lynnville, Alex Simmons, Jacob Simmons, both of Pulaski; great-grandchildren, Bo Roberson, Chad Roberson, Austin Thornton, Randall Garner, Austin Simmons; sisters, Jean Wakefield of Frankewing, Edna (James Dale) McNeese of Tullahoma; sisters-in-law, Janice Douthit of Pulaski, Betty Sue Patton of Huntsville, Ala.; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
