Faye Deloris Franklin Obituary
Lynnville - Ms. Faye Deloris Franklin, 77, of Lynnville died June 8, 2025, at the family home.
Ms. Franklin was born Nov. 17, 1947, in Giles County. She was affectionately loved by her family and was the third child and second oldest girl of her seven siblings. She attended Bridgeforth School in Pulaski and was a graduate of Carver Smith High School in Columbia in 1966. She professed hope in Christ and became a member of Round Hill Missionary Baptist Church, the family home church in Lynnville, under the leadership of Pastor George Ridley. She was a faithful member of the church, where she sang in the choir and at one time did the church announcement, attending until her health failed. She had a very quiet spirit and was kind to everyone. She enjoyed music, singing and patting her feet to the tunes of gospel and old school. She loved to laugh and there was nothing like a good hardy laugh for her. She enjoyed cooking, especially desserts, and being with her family and friends. It was nothing for her and her sisters to prepare dinner every Sunday for the entire family. She worked for more than 30 years as a family caregiver with at least three different families, caring for their family and children. One family whom she continued to have contact with, developing a close bond that continued throughout the rest of her life, is Ms. Molly Ledbetter and family. She also worked at NHC Health Care in the Nutrition Department. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and loved ones. She is preceded in death by parents, Roger and Jennie Mae Harwell Franklin; brothers, Robert C. Franklin, Roger Dale Franklin; and sisters, Jeanet Franklin and Annie Laura Franklin Armstrong.
Funeral services were June 14 at Round Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in Everbright Cemetery.
