Debra Gene McBride Childress Obituary

Pulaski - Mrs. Debra "Debbie" Gene McBride Childress, 66, of Pulaski died April 25, 2026, while doing what she loved.

Mrs. Childress was born April 4, 1960, and lived life with a carefree heart and an adventurous spirit. Whether she was riding on the motorcycle with husband Ron down an open highway, heading out on a cruise or soaking up the sun on a beach vacation, she embraced every moment with joy. She had a gift for lifting people's spirits with her easy laugh, her cheerful "good morning" Snapchat pictures, or the funny coffee posts she shared on Facebook. She brought warmth and light wherever she went, and the world has lost a bright, free-spirited soul. She loved her children, grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, and she cherished every moment spent with them. They were the heart of her world, and nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her family. A dedicated volunteer, she spent countless hours supporting American Legion Post 60, always showing up with compassion and a willingness to help. Her motorcycle community was another family to her, and she cherished the freedom of the road, the friendships she built and the stories shared along the way. She is preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Etta McBride; and father-in-law Daniel Childress.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Campbellsville United Methodist Church.
