Cornersville - Mr. David Leamon Kirby Jr., 57, of Cornersville died March 26, 2026.


Mr. Kirby was born Nov. 15, 1968, in Giles County and was the first child born to the late David L. Kirby Sr. and Nedra Johnson Trebing. He was raised in Pulaski and was a graduate of Giles County High School, class of 1987. He later attended Martin Methodist College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was a faithful member of Choates Creek United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening, spending time with his family and following sports, especially the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his personality and his love for the simple joys of life. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by former wife Della Whitworth Corbin.


Memorial services were April 4 at Bennett‑May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.


Survivors include daughter Kyndall Kirby Baltimore and Brandon Tharpe, both of Pulaski; grandchildren, Kymberli Baltimore, Kyndra Stokes, Kirby Tharpe, Isabella Tharpe; brother Jonathan Kirby and wife Heather of Murfreesboro; niece and nephews, Joshua Kirby, Hannah Kirby, Matthew Kirby, John Kirby; stepmother Donna Kirby; and stepsisters, Marissa Massey and Leslie Johnson.
