Giles County - Mr. Allan Ray Salisbury, 76, of Giles County died April 2, 2026.

Mr. Salisbury was born Nov. 13, 1949, in Traverse City, Mich. He was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church. After high school, he joined the Army and served in Vietnam. After returning home, he met and married Debbie, his wife of 53 years. They went on to have four boys, Bill, Lee, Ricky and Albert. He enjoyed being outside and working in the woods. When the kids were growing up, the family worked together cutting and selling firewood and later making and delivering charcoal. Later, the couple owned and operated AS Trucking in Beaverton, Mich., until they retired and moved to Tennessee. He loved hunting, building things and playing in the dirt with his skid steer. He was a lifelong NASCAR fan and was always up for a game of Euchre. His favorite place was his property in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He looked forward to spending the summers there enjoying nature and time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Albert and Dorothy Salisbury; and brother Joe Salisbury.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Tony Gomillion officiating. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery with full military honors.

Celebration of Life services will be held in Eckerman, Mich., sometime this summer and will be announced at a later date.

Survivors include wife Debbie Salisbury of Pulaski; sons, Bill Salisbury (Stacy) of Pulaski, Lee Salisbury (Mary), Albert Salisbury (Jessie), both of Beaverton, Mich., Ricky (Leonda) Salisbury of Englewood, Colo.; sisters, Doris Nelligan (Pat), Donna Koon, both of Traverse City, Mich.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
