Mr. Alfred Tryan (Renny) Coffey, 64, died Feb. 9, 2025.
Mr. Coffey was born Aug. 24, 1960, in Pulaski; one of 10 children born to his parents. He received his formal education in the Giles County School System and, in high school, was known as "Mr. Basketball." After graduating Giles County High School, he attended Northeast Mississippi Jr. College in Booneville, Miss., where he played football. He was a member of Old Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Pulaski. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Fred and Virginia Coffey; and brothers, Solon Coffey, Fred Coffey Jr., James Thomas Coffey and Dennis Nelson.
Funeral services were March 2 at The Greater Richland Creek MB Association Central Building with Eulogist Robert Peavy. Burial was in Briar Ridge Cemetery.
Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include children, Shannon Coffey, Ebony Archuleta, Alfred Coffey Jr., Amity Braden, Tyrell Farley, Deja Coffey, Tyrese Coffey; 16 grandchildren; sister Ada Yvonne Nelson and husband John of Goodspring; brothers, Robert Coffey and wife Evelyn, Terry Coffey and wife Danielle, Kenneth Dale Coffey and wife Shelia, all of Pulaski, Donald E. Coffey and wife Valerie of Miami, Michael Coffey and wife Pamela of San Diego; sisters-in-law, Valerie C. Coffey, Ruth Ann Coffey, both of Pulaski, Barbara Coffey of Indianapolis; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
